Abstract:Seamus Heaney,an Irish poet as well as the recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1995,constructs his poetic cosmos by virtue of ontological language, making individual words heavily loaded with cultural implications which in turn radiate expansive historical, social, artistic and psychological dimensions.Merging of lexical forms dissolves historical, cultural and linguistic boundaries, thus opening up the reader's psychological horizon in his aesthetic receptions.
