If examined through the view of philosophy,there exist some common problems in college English teaching for non-English majors in colleges and universities in Chinese remote minority areas,that is,contradictions and conflicts between the students' bases and the national English teaching requirements,the English teachers' information supply and the students' information demand,the students' study of English and its application,the traditional teaching method and the modern multimedium teaching method,the big-class teaching model and the language learning principles.
