In an important speech at the National Conference on ideological and political work in December of 2016, general secretary Xi Jinping instructs that ideological and political work in Colleges and universities should change because of change of things, progress because of times and innovate because of new situations. It provides a new practical approach to ideological and political education in Colleges and universities, which requires that we proceed from the reality of colleges and universities and follow the intrinsic law of Ideological and political education to refine the pattern of coordinated implicit and explicit ideological and political work, and to improve and innovate the methods of implicit ideological and political education through the scientific approach of "Change, Progress and Innovation".
