Abstract:As a hidden ideological and political education resourceꎬ the extraordinary supporting role of peer influence has long been neglected because of its " scattered" existenceꎬ " hidden" functionꎬ and " mild" effect. Activating the abilities of " self-managementꎬ self-educationꎬ and self-service" of college students with the help of peer influence should be an innovative concept in the efforts of ideological and political education. Neverthelessꎬ emphasis on peer influence should be properly navigated in the first place so that a relatively stable and fine peer team can take shapeꎻ secondlyꎬ a platform giv ̄ ing full play to peer influence should be strongly supportedꎻ thirdlyꎬ timely encouragement should be provided for the sus ̄ tained development of peer influenceꎻ last but not leastꎬ effective management should be carried out to push forward a long -term development of peer influence in colleges and universities.
