Oral English is one of fundamental courses for English-major students.It is as important as listening,reading,writing and translation.The essay,intergrated with many years of practical teaching,analyzes some major problems in oral English teaching in terms of teaching materials,teachers’quality,students and test.And by illustrating these,we have found the most difficult points in the provement of students’oral English.The essay is written to stimulate both teachers and students to explore a further study on oral English learning and teaching.
