Nowadays multimedia on the basis of computer and internet technology has been deeply used in English language teaching(ELT). It remarkably promotes the refreshment of foreign language teaching and brings us many side - effects as well. To the current state of multimedia - courseware application in ELT, the writer outlines the occurrence of the mode of teaching using multimedia - coursewares, the concerned theory, the application of multimedia in ELT, and its major problems and solutions in their own unique opinion.
