Ethnic higher education is an important part of the whole higher education system of our county.It has organic and trenchancy features,quite important in advance process of reforms and great exploitation in western China.Yet,for historical reasons along with particularity and complexity of ethnic higher education,contemporary ethnic higher education has relatively lagged behind and a lot of contradictions have increasingly displayed.This paper discusses and analyses the ethnic higher education in western China,its achievement and problems in its developing process.
