As the fundamental guarantee of rural governance， the rule of law is an inevitable choice to enhance the effectiveness of rural governance， and it is of great significance to promote the digital transformation of rural governance. The rule of law can bring rural digital governance into the orbit of the rule of law， ensure the safe use of information technology with legal regulation， prevent the abuse of information technology with the enforcement of rights and obligations， and then establish a safe， efficient， and intelligent digital governance system. However， the defects in supporting systems， the ambiguous rights and responsibilities of the governance subjects， and the deficient supervision and restriction mechanism impede the construction of the rule of law in rural digital governance and hold back the improvement of rural governance efficiency. Therefore， we must promote rural digital governance on the track of rule of law， further improve the normative system of rural digital governance， and realize the benign interaction of multiple subjects and build a scientific and sound supervision mechanism， so as to avoid the risks faced by rural digital governance and achieve all-round rural revitalization.
