Building on the archaic Yi culture，Yi poet Luowu Laqie creates many cultural emblems in his poems with innocent and sincere style，thorough and composed perspective，and epic and simplified expressions. This paper aims to probe into the aesthetic value and spiritual core in the Yi culture through the study of his poems. Taking the poems'' background and the poet''s creating intention into consideration，this paper focuses on the process of the poems''production in order to abstract the awareness of life hidden in the subconsciousness of Yi people，demonstrate their spiritual symbols and modern challenges against their traditional cultures，express the poet''s nostalgic feelings about Yi hometown，and point out the emotional connotation of the topics and the aesthetic practice in his poems.
