Abstract:In the 100 years since the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Party has led the youth ideal and be- lief education to go through four stages: the preliminary exploration in the period of the new democratic revolution, the tor- tuous development in the period of socialist revolution and construction, the prosperity and development from the Third Plenary Session of the eleventh Central Committee to the 18th National Congress, and the in-depth development in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Over the past century, the Communist Party of China has led the young people′s ideal and belief education to go in sync with the times and their self-development. It has accumulated fundamen- tal experience in this respect, such as centering around an all-round personal development of the young people; educa- tional targets, contents and methods progressing with the development of times; theoretical ideas putting into practice and practical work turning into careful actions. An in-depth analysis of the historical logic of this practical experience bears major significance for a brand new start of the young people′s ideal and belief education in the new era.
