Abstract:As the first feminist writer of contemporary Yi literature, Li Na, who had gone through the revolutionary war, became the first to take on the important task in contemporary Yi feminist literature. In this paper I make analyses of her works created in different periods to study the evolution of her feminist awareness implicit in the texts. In the end a conclusion is drawn: Li Na’s feminist writing had undergone a complete ordeal from the shallow to the depth, from awakening to the outburst, from the initial care about reality and seldom about feminist themes to the restrained feminist awareness in revolutionary and patriarchal times; at last it breaks through revolutionary and patriarchal repression and presents brand-new feminist awareness.
