As one of the members of the multi-ethnic group, Yi nationality is also concerned with the research on the identity of ethnic groups in China. This article starts from the Mei Ge and E Le TeYi and some Yi's epics, combining with the contemporary Yi literature and music works, making contrast analyses of the Yi's "tiger" and "son of the eagle" two kinds of different types, which are the expression of the overall the identity of the Yi nationality itself
