Abstract:Passage dictation has lieen a bottleneck in TEM4. Through exhaustive analysis of 25 students * dictation texts, 5 categories or, 14 types of errors in total have heen discovered: vocabulary,grammar, omission and addition, inferencing and word order. Furthermore, a chart of dictation errors is mapped out, which is conducive to the elevation of students,error avoidance awareness and the effectiveness of teaching dictation on the whole.
