More new members had been incorporated into the corpus of Chinese phrases through the process of language contact between Chinese and foreign language via translation of Buddhist Scriptures. In Six Dynasties, the Chinese originated Taoist seriplure, Ku Ling-pao-ehing, incorporated a large number of Chinese Buddhist phrases, which showed the depth of influence of language contact upon Chinese language. This paper, by introducing types of recourse to Buddhist phrases in Ku Ling-pao-ehing, reveals a generating mechanics by which a landscape of combined language between Buddhist and Taoist ones was developed in Ku Ling-pao-ching.
