As a Jewish American writer,Saul Bellow’s novels have the outstanding cultural character.Through the analysis of Bellow’s works,this thesis explores the hidden spiritual connotation： the alienation,the sense of trampling and the spiritual return,and further reveals the cosmopolitan cultural significance beyond the Jewish culture.
