Chen Zi-ang brought out a literary renovation theory trenchantly centerring on Fenggu and Xingji to oppose the gorgeous and effeminate poetry style in Nan Dynasty,and practiced the new theory in his writings,which put positive effect on the prosperity for poetry in crowning Tang Dynasty.This essay mainly analyzes Chen Zi-ang's poetic theory,his practice in poetic writings and his status in Chinese literary history.
