A translator is regarded as a "servant" in traditional translation theories.This confines a translator's initiative in the process of translation.However,in the post-structural paradigm,a translator's position has been improved greatly.Philosophical Hermeneutics and Reception Theory are two post-structural theories.This paper will discuss a translator's position under the notions of fusion of horizons & horizons of expectation.
