Abstract:Problems of preschool education in the Yi areas in Liangshan such as hindered promotion of Mandarin, inclination to turn preschool education into primary school education, and the lack of scientific pedagogy as well as their causes are analyzed and corresponding suggestions of changing teachers' and parents' ideas about education, enhancing supervision over the implementation of relevant governmental documents, and improving the quality of teaching force are put forward for further development of the preschool education in the most poor Yi communities in Liangshan.
