The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei city group is one of the most important economic centers in our country and one of the three world-class city groups this country's planers focus on. It's this country's major goal and strategic approach to promote coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and improve the functions of the capital.Currently, there remains still a large gap between the overall development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei city group and those of the Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and major world-class city groups in the world. With a multi-dimensional perspective and an overall view on development, we discuss the approaches to develop the world-class city group of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei from four dimensions: driven by world-class city groups, industrial division and cooperation of three major city groups, coordinated development within the city group, and urban-rural integration development, aiming to help promote a quality and sustainable development of city groups.
