Tourism development comes as a solution to farmers' poverty problem as well as to regional poverty problem. And development of rural tourism can help to quicken the pace of poverty alleviation in poverty-stricken regions. Against the background of poverty alleviation via tourism and with Zhaojie County as a case, this paper analyzes the problems in the process of poverty alleviation via development of tourism in Yi People populated areas in Liangshan, and proposes a series of feasible solutions like adopting different measures, innovating modes of poverty alleviation, digging into true values of resources, and forging unique brands of products. These targeted suggestions are expected to guide the poverty alleviation work in Zhaojue County and help to achieve a win-win between farmers' fast income rise and local tourism development.
