Abstract:While the explicit text meaning of Jidi Maga′s long poem I, Snow Leopard. . . is to call on the protection of snow leopards living on the snowy plateau, the implicit calling in the poem is to fight for a sustainable living space for the un- derprivileged ethnic people in this area, who share the same destiny with the snow leopards. In the work, the poet sharply criticized the global powers who attempt to damage or destroy “ other cultures”, advocated a peaceful human society by “ forgiving and forgetting”, maintaining the development of the marginal mountainous cultures, and preserving their cultur- al characteristics.
