Abstract:With the introduction of the concept of educational ecology, the project of college English teaching reform has taken on a new look. In the field of theoretical research, the original research scope of the college English teaching reform has been expanded to a new level, where teachers′ ideology, students′ self-learning, curriculum design, and teaching strategies are incorporated into the research system with each research aspect increasingly interconnected with each other to gradually construct a systematic reform package. It is obvious that the idea of educational ecology, with its feasibility and necessity in research and practice, has injected new energy into the college English reform efforts.
