Abstract:Academies of classic learning have a history ofover 1000 years in Sichuan province, and,as an important part of Chinese education history, have contributed greatly toChinese education. To rediscover historical truths of Academies’development can provide useful historical reference for today's education development. Present academic circles have conducted some research into history ofclassic learningacademiesof Sichuan province, but the research scope is still not complete. Through literature research, in this paper we systematically sorts out the research results in the fields of the overall development of academies, chronological studies, book collection and teaching, system reform and case studies, aiming to contribute to the research on Sichuan classical learning academies. We find that the research scope had gradually broadened and the achievements increased, but the research needs to be further linked to the reality of today's education development, the interdisciplinary perspective needs to be further introduced, and the depth and width of research need to be further increased.
