Abstract:Poems by Yi womenin Liangshan, whose voices are oftenobscured andhidden, have received comparatively less attention. However, an overview of the Yi women's poems in Liangshan reveals three important linesabout their creation. The first one is women's sense of belonging to their ethnicity in the image of "groups of Yi girls". The second is the portrayal of rebellious Yi women which stresses the voices of Yi women with liberating ideas. The last one is the topic of physical intimacy which expresses Yi women's private feelings about gender awareness. These three lines constitute the major part of LiangshanYi women's voices inpoems and laid a foundation for the further development of Yi women's poems in an increasingly diversified society.
