Abstract:Ancient Yi literature Su Ju Li Mi was created in earlyto the middle of Tang Dynasty. It records various traditional moral ideas from the top thetribe chief to the bottom the folk people. It contains development of order concept and serves as an important carrier of traditional Yi culture.Its major contents can be divided into three layers: the emphasis on loyalty to feudal chiefs fromlower officials,the feudal chiefs' governanceby valuing talents and loving the subjects,the harmonious society of filial piety and ancestor worship, and the idea of kindheartedness and justice. It is a work created through writer's study, selective adoption and integrationof Confucian culture, reflecting the writer's pursuit of a stable social order for the interest of the ruling class, through which the lower and upper classes,the marginal and the mainstream were all connected, the unity and identity of tribal groupswere promoted, the feudal chiefs'rule and social stability were kept, and a benign transformation and healthy development of Yi ethnic society were boosted in those times.
