Abstract:To promote rural education development in ethnic regions is an important strategic policy to guarantee the balanced development of national compulsory education, as well as an effective means for educational poverty alleviation. Puge County locates in ethnic regions, and it's a top priority to develop good rural education in relation to the task of targeted poverty alleviation there. Based on predecessors' researches, we seize the opportunity of Sichuan Education Foundation's public welfare activities and make a survey of the Central School of Tebu Township of Puge County in Liangshan Prefecture through questionnaires, forums and interviews and class observations. Through data and theoretical analyses, we conclude that rural education is faced with difficulties like the level of teachers, the pressure of teachers to teach, continuing education and training, and school infrastructure conditions, we propose following solutions: to improve the construction of the teaching staff, establish fixed-point assistance, reduce the proportion of left-behind, improve the publicity of rural education and the top-level design by government.
