Abstract:Vlog means "video blog" which has become a new outlet since last year. A large number of video blogs with distinct characteristics have emerged on various domestic media platforms, on which female authors have become a force that can not be ignored. From their vlog works, we can see their narrative traits such as distinct spatial representation, slow time extension, and role transformation from the front stage to the back stage, as well as their distinct cultural characteristics such as pluralism and diversity, subjectivity and autonomy, breakthrough and rebellion, slow narration and accompaniment. This paper combs this phenomenon in depth, and devotes itself to the assessment of how vlog can better gather women's public topics, develop new female discourse and avoid over-entertainment and stigmatization in its future development.
