Perceptive criticism emphasizes inspiration, imagination, improvisation and intuition, which coincides in spirit with the tradition of Chongqing and Sichuan culture of freedom, romance, transcendence and wisdom. In the new times, the booming publishing industry contributes to the prosperity of literary creations, and correspondingly, the heat of literary criticism. However, modern Chinese literary criticism starts from large-scale introductions of literary criticism modes based on theories of western philosophy and social thoughts, and the more traditional Chinese perceptive criticism is gradually neglected by literary critics, and the development of literary criticism in Chongqing and Sichuan is also affected. Then, in contemporary Chongqing and Sichuan literary criticisms, how should we integrate perceptive criticism into our practices? This paper draws inspirations from perceptive criticism in ancient Chinese literature to interpret its enlightenment for contemporary literary criticism in Chongqing and Sichuan.
