Deng Xiaoping's thought of opening up, being an important part of Deng Xiaoping's theory, remains an important theoretical source for Xi Jinping's opening up policy. In this paper, through literature research and analyses of numerous materials, we clearly define the purpose and significance of the research and provide theoretical support for our paper; by combining theory with practice, Deng Xiaoping Theory and Xi Jinping's opening up practice are integrated to highlight the main thrust of the paper; by adopting the historical induction method, Deng Xiaoping's theory and practice of opening up were summarized and analyzed, and their inspirations for Xi Jinping's opening up policy was clearly clarified. It's concluded that, in the new era, Xi Jinping has creatively inherited and developed Deng Xiaoping's opening up thoughts, set the goal of national prosperity, formulated plans for national rejuvenation, emphasized the need to strengthen win-win economic cooperation and to stabilize political development, and has advocated moves to deepen exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations. The innovations of this paper include the topic's nature of being current, the diverse perspectives of the research, the distillation of Deng Xiaoping's opening up theories, their respective inspirations for Xi Jinping's opening up policy, and the elaborations on Xi Jinping's inheritance and development of Deng Xiaoping's opening up theory and practice.
