Abstract:From the perspective of eco-translatology, a theory based on "natural selection" and "the survival of the fittest" in evolutionary biology, the survival and sustainability of Chinese cyber-neologisms also undergoes a process of natural selection, in which the fittest will survive. In translating the Chinese cyber-neologisms "Lihaiti", the translator should keep the translation ecological environment in mind and weigh up and coordinate the relationships between the linguistic, cultural and communicative dimensions. Only by appropriate transformations in the process of constant "selective adaptation" and "adaptive selection" can the translator produce the translations with the highest "degree of holistic adaptation and selection".
