Abstract:In the course of poverty alleviation in rural areas, the women left at home gradually betray problems of weakening social values such as lower self-consciousness, neglect of their female identity and lack of competition consciousness. From Marxist perspective on women, we analyzed the reasons for the weakening of social values of rural women left at home: inequality of male and female labor division, unconscious neglect of their interests, and their lower level of education. With Marxist perspective on women, this paper proposes to raise the social values of the rural left-at-home women in the poverty alleviation campaign through four ways: to educate them with knowledge and culture, to empower them with political rights, to protect them with law, and to favor them with due benefits.
