Abstract:Based on the language use of the children who follow their parents to go to Southwest China, Sichuan dialect, hometown dialect and Mandarin are selected as the research objectives. Moreover, researchers also analyze those people’s family situations, language acquisitions, family and the social languages. As a result, their language using rules are that people mainly use the Mandarin, and Sichuan dialect and hometown dialect are secondary languages. At the same time, the longer they stayed in the southwest region, the more they will use Sichuan dialect. The results of the survey show that the factors which affect the children’s using of language are complex and diverse. The main influencing factors are the parents' education level, the daily language using of the family, the care giver, the time of their leaving hometown, gender and other factors.
