Abstract: This paper analyzes the construction and semantic structuring of Chinese characters. The function which cognitive attention plays in the formation of concept structuring is mainly explained. Therefore, it tries to reveal the cognitive rule of Chinese character construction, and further provides a new case for the combination of cognitive linguistic theory and research of Chinese Characters. The teaching of Foreign Chinese Characters may also be enlightened by it
