Abstract: This paper collects and summarizes news titles with the pattern of "X on the tip of tongue", analyzes the evolution of the semantic and syntactic structure, finds out its limitations in the process of imitating and reveals the hard-wired meaning, unclear semantic and other issues resulting from the diffusion.
