Abstract: Written by Bai Juyi, Everlasting Regret has always been adored and appreciated by a large number of people. Not only does the poetry represent the romance between an emperor of Tang Dynasty and his imperial concubine Yang, but also reflects the writer's personal amour as well as the feelings of the readers. The three kinds of emotion's overlaying, presented by artistic techniques, enhance the depth and complexity of poetic emotion. The emotion's overlaying and artistic expressions make Everlasting Regret more charming and more far-reaching.
