Abstract:Abstract: After the independence war, through the Louisiana Purchase, the Oregon Poundary Controversy, the United States expanded wide geographical space they needed for industrialization development and set a precedent of solving the territory problems by diplomacy on the basis of territory expansion. In the complicated diplomatic situation, the United States purchased more than half of American land and realized territory expansion and international status improvement taking advantage of conflicts and disputes by negotiation style of coercion. While meeting its own interests, federal government have been conscious of that the peaceful settlement was more conducive to consolidating the new-born political power, which drawn some references on dealing with international issues for America.
