The competence education of the college students has been carried on for more than twenty years, and got a big achievement already. But it is not enough to study the humanistic quality of college students in minority concentrated region. This article in view of the urgent needs to improve the humanistic quality of the college students in minority concentrated regions, proposes that reading the local classical poetry is an important way to improve the college students in minority concentrated regions in the humanities. This article discusses on the richness of the local cultural resources in minority concentrated regions and the meaning, content, method and effect by reading local classical poetry, and this discussion is useful to promote minority concentrated regions' college's cultural quality education.
