Currently, the university teaching has made considerable achievements on strengthening college students’study of Chinese contemporary diplomacy. However, the teaching still needs to be perfected. In concept, college students don’t realize the importance of the China’s diplomacy. There are insufficient of the specific teaching content, including lack of combing of Chinese traditional foreign culture systematically, lack of exposition of Chinese modern foreign affairs logically, lack of cognitive depth of the practice of Chinese contemporary foreign policy，and lack of enough analysis of the relationship between China and the world. There are insufficient of the teaching methods, including the teaching of Chinese diplomacy not closely related to Political Sciences and International Relations, and lack of thematic case teaching. To enhance college students’cognition of Chinese diplomacy, it is necessary to teach the history of Chinese traditional foreign culture, to introduce relevant theories of Political Sciences and International Relations, and to strengthen the thematic case teaching etc.
