In modern and contemporary literature history, Ai Wu and XU Di-shan are special writers. They showed their love of literature and the people of the motherland by the singular exoticism. However, even if there is an approximate theme and perspective, they also reflect their own unique style in many ways, especially in the aspect of characters in the works. This paper compares and finds out the differences in their works. It analyzes the characters from these aspects: the plot of the story, the way of molding of characters, the character’s mental state and philosophy. One is a simple narrator of the story, the other one is a weaver of intricate plot, and they show us character’s different spirituality and different social significance produced by these characters in different ways
