In male-centered feudal society, the fate of women was doomed to be tragic. Consequently, the fate of the woman characters in Six Chapters of a Floating Life is inevitably tragic. This paper tries to research on the tragedy of Chen Yun so that readers can have a better understanding of women’s tragedies at that time and how the feudal system engulfed good human nature.
