Abstract:It is Le Petit Prince, written by French writer,Saint-Exupery,that pioneers the adoption of universal space and planets as the context and images to inspire an in-depth contemplation upon children and adults' living circumstances and their distinct. In his work,Saint-Exupery contrasts adults against children under the grand backdrop of the universe. With exaggerated space layout and images, this work,on the one hand, indicates a profound consideration on the living and psychological space of both sides,on the other hand, symbolizes Le Petit Prince's space trip as children's unconscious yet inevitable trip towards adulthood.Although the story ends up with the flesh death of Le Petit Prince,it also suggests the existence of"another space",which reflects the Exupery's resistance against the adult world as well as his anticipation for the being of any"childish adults".
