Cognitive schema is an organized mental model, on this basis, new information can be interpreted and appropriately responsed. By giving a brief introduction of schema theory, in this paper, it probes into the application of cognitive schema in the translation of culture-loaded words, and tries to discuss the strategies to translate them from the prospective of cognitive schema theory, and then comes to the conclusion that the translator should broaden their cognitive schema to translate culture-loaded words.
