Higher vocational college English teaching should be an important carrier and platform for humanistic education.In teaching the language knowledge of English,teachers meanwhile ought to fully excavate the rich humanistic materials implicated in textbooks and penetrate humanistic education in English teaching to improve students’humanity accomplishment.Based on an analysis of the close internal relation between humanistic education and college English teaching,this article points out that teachers could carry out humanistic education from three aspects:building happy and equal learning atmosphere,excavating deeply the humanistic materials in textbooks,and highlighting the cultivation of students’humanity accomplishment in"second classroom"activities.
