This paper,under the framework of cultural context,sex context and family context,combining with Stevenson’s own life and social experience,excavates the obscure factors of female performance and interprets the work from the angle of both sexes.It is pointed out that this novel provides a Victorian panorama containing problems of male,female and human nature.
