The teaching and learning of lexical chunks have aroused extensive attention of all kinds of English teachers.One of important English teaching tasks should be to cultivate learners’abilities to understand and make use of lexical chunks.Self-efficacy puts an important influence on the learner’s learning result and personalities.Good skill and efficacy are both necessary for the learner’s success in the language learning process.Through an empirical study,the research explores the effects of lexical chunks training on EFL learners’level of English output and self-efficacy.The result shows that employing lexical-chunk training in college English teaching and emphasizing the relevant knowledge contributes to improving writing marks and the level of English learning self-efficacy.
