In this paper,we first point out the disadvantages of the traditional teaching model of English writing.Then based on the Input and Output Theory and Epistemology of Maxims,we go on to present a new teaching model of English writing： Reading for Writing.At last,we analyze the advantages of this teaching model and call the readers ’attention to some matters that are important in its practice.
