Although the Pei Ziye group wasn’t a a political group,it had thousands of relations with the highest ruler of the Liang Dynasty.Apart from those of being friendly and old friends,the members of the Pei Ziye group drew much attention of Emperor Liang Wudi.The main reasons are that these people were very similar in many respects to those ideal literati in Emperor Liang Wudi’s mind,who claimed that the Confucianism should be emphasized and restored,and emphases should be laid on the quality but not the literary grace.In the meantime,their historic works and moral qualities helped them find their position in the literary history and were complimented by many well-known persons and they became the models of the ideal literati in Emperor Liang Wudi’s mind.
