According to the types of newspaper headlines,this article analyzes the generation mechanism of newspaper headlines,exploring why headlines do not represent the text they introduce.In fact,they are closely related.We interpret it by means of‘impartment and inheritance of connotation and denotation’theory.This article aims to supply a new way of studying the newspaper headlines by the cognitive analysis.
