Abstract:Midnight's Children is a Booker Prize novel by Salman Rushdie,one of the representative writers of postcolonial literature.The story is told by the protagonist Saleem Sinai,who is a mix in many ways.Following his stream of consciousness,Saleem reveals us a blended nation——India.The present paper tries to explore the hybridity of this novel from three aspects,namely,the cultural identity of the narrator,rhetorical devices and sources of the text.
