Abstract:The ode of A Phoenix Perching in Poor Chinese Parasol Tree by Wang Bo is very important in the ode history. It is an early ruled ode in the early Tang dynasty which is recorded with heading restricted by rhyme. However, its special types, its subject matter, and its effect in phylogeny of ruled ode are not revealed. Even in the point of view of aesthetics, the Ode is nearly unconventional in depicting the Parasol and Phoenix and shows its aesthetic content.
